This is beautiful, and painful, and really resonates with me although my pain is a mental one not physical, still I’m trapped in it. Blah, trying to say something but not quite sure what I am trying to say. Reminds me of a picture God gave to one of my friends, many years ago, of being weighed down, shackled, by our pain.
yes…you’re right…The pain is physical and/or mental pain…It can also be spiritual, which is perhaps the worst of all. I made the hands reaching up to heaven deliberately…For it’s from there that our only hope of reprieve can come…for any of the three types of pain. My original title for this painting was “Groaning for Eternity” or something to that effect. Nothing makes me long for heaven more than pain. Perhaps that’s why God gives it to us…so that we are never too comfortable here that we forget what we need to be readying for.
Thanks for your comment, Penney.

Hi Cierra,
I apologize that I did not respond to your comment sooner. I haven’t checked this blog recently until tonight. I am sorry about the pain that you suffer. I’m well acquainted with pain and painted that pic to try to show how it feels to me. I”m glad the painting spoke to you.
Blessings.
